Jp Samuel – Lead Pastor
Jp Samuel is the lead pastor of Spectrum, Silicon Valley. He is also the President of iSpectra – an organization that works towards multicultural leadership and discipleship in the Bay Area and the President of the Board of Directors of Christian Counselling Center, San Jose. He pursued his Ph.D. at IIT-Madras and University of Freiburg-Germany. He also holds a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. He served in the marketplace for over 10 years at Stanford University, IBM and other hi-tech companies before embracing God’s call to minister full time in the Bay Area. He has ministered among International Students, Refugees and Professionals from several countries over the past 20 years and is passionate about preaching, teaching, church planting, and helping professionals connect their faith with their work. He and his wife Jemima along with their three children live in the San Francisco Bay Area. He enjoys reading, fishing, running bay area trails, and recently completed his first half-ironman.
Tad Cooper – Elder Emeritus
Tad Cooper helps lead the multiethnic worship team and the Spectrum Kids ministry, and also sits on the board of iSpectra. He has served in a pastoral role among the people of Laos in Richmond for more than 28 years, reaching out to young adults, at-risk youth, and children. He holds an M.Div. from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. He is passionate about helping all people discover Christ and is also involved in training pastors in Laos and Thailand. He lives with his wife Michelle in San Lorenzo and is the proud father of four daughters and seven grandchildren, two of whom were adopted from Africa. He treasures backpacking in God’s creation, and enjoys working on computers and fixing things that are broken.

Jeff Louie – Consulting Elder
Jeff Louie is currently an associate professor at Western Seminary in Santa Clara. He received a Th. M. and Ph.D. from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has over 25 years of pastoral ministry including 19 years at Sunset Chinese Church, San Francisco that grew from a few hundred to over 1000 people during his time. He is a founding member of The Gospel Coalition along with Tim Keller. He is passionate about gospel centered transformation, training and multicultural church planting. Apart from preaching and teaching he also helps in strategic leadership at Spectrum. He can also be found running half-marathons.
